McQ Alexander McQueen

McQ Alexander McQueen Womenswear Collection

Classically trained Savile Row tailor, Alexander McQueen, turned his hand to the design of ladieswear after graduating from the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 1994. His graduating collection was famously bought in its entirety by the legendary and influential stylist Isabella Blow, instantly launching the then unknown designer into the fashion limelight.

London born Mcqueen launched his eponymous diffusion line, McQ Alexander McQueen, to showcase his rebellious fashion to the youth of today. Contemporary in spirit, the McQ Alexander McQueen ready-to-wear collections represent McQueens own sense of anarchy and revolution, whilst being constantly renewed through his eclectic and often off the wall inspirations. 'Younger and more renegade but always signature McQueen', the collection features directional denim, tartan and powerful prints, with rebellious adornments of safety pins and skulls.

Alexander McQueen’s death in February 2010 was a huge shock to the fashion industry, and his design talent is sorely missed. His right-hand woman Sarah Burton is now at the helm of this iconic fashion house, bringing a softer touch to the collections to much acclaim.
