Using fabrics that are truly original in their use for the fashion world, Stone Island came to the forefront as an innovative men’s wear line in 1982.

Creating statement pieces of masculine design, they experimented with fibres and textiles to generate garments they felt would meet the needs of the contemporary wearer. By researching into traditionally industrial techniques, they began to produce Stone Island jackets that were treated in ways to make them highly waterproof, run-proof and fabrics that would even change colour between certain temperatures. Garments of the Italian brand typically feature the Stone Island compass logo on the upper left arm.

With their highly structured Stone Island jeans and knits along with jackets and trenches, Stone Island continue to produce exceedingly intelligent pieces, that seek to benefit the users every needs and push the frontier of textile research and design even further. By constantly experimenting with new treatments and finishes, Stone Island’s extensive experience is constantly expanding in new and exciting directions.
